Who am I?

Hi, I'm Sally, a mum of two and a life coach passionate about helping others overcome worry, overthinking, and self-criticism. As a former Police sergeant, I thought I had it all together – I was calm, confident, and capable. However, my life took an unexpected turn when I became the victim of a violent attack. Overnight, I found myself struggling with overwhelming fear and constant tension.

While it was a dark period in my life, I now see it as a profound opportunity for growth and awakening. Determined to heal, I immersed myself in personal development, exploring various techniques to reprogram my thoughts and break free from anxiety.

Through this journey, I discovered the power within myself to transform challenges into opportunities. Now, I feel privileged to guide others who find themselves trapped in the same cycle of worry and self-doubt.

As a life coach, I create a safe and supportive space for my clients, offering empathy, understanding, and a personalized approach. I've been there, and I know the courage it takes to confront fears and limiting beliefs. Together, we work on cultivating inner peace, building resilience, and rediscovering the potential that lies within.

If you're ready to shed the weight of worry and self-criticism, I'm here to support you every step of the way. With compassion, practical tools, and a commitment to your growth, I'll help you unlock the strength and wisdom you already possess.

Take the first step towards a brighter future. Contact me today, and let's begin your journey towards a life of confidence and inner peace.

"I am learning to live more bravely and whole heartedly”

❝ Thanks Sally, it's been fantastic being coached by you, you have a very insightful way of working which has given me space to understand myself better and start making changes. And be more supportive of myself!! The tools you introduced me to have helped me better recognise, understand and regulate my emotions. I'm prone to fixating on an issue, ruminating and overthinking situations and potential outcomes - usually kicking in very inconveniently at bedtime! I now have strategies that help me manage this and gain some perspective - and some sleep! I am learning to live more bravely and wholeheartedly and not be scared to show my vulnerabilities, rather than sit on the sidelines. This has had a really positive impact on relationships, especially at work. Thank you for all your support!❞

“One of the most important things I’ve learned is how to really listen to myself”

❝ I loved my sessions with Sally, I found them so relaxing and she made me feel like I mattered. One of the most important things I've learned is how to really listen to myself. I’ve just had three sessions so far, but I am feeling much more positive and confident.❞

"When you're in the thick of it, it's nearly impossible to see the negative behavioural patterns you've adopted. Sally’s ability to identify these patterns and gently provide insight and direction has been invaluable”

❝ I have known Sally for several years, initially as a Pilates instructor and later as a Mindfulness teacher. Her guidance helped me immensely during a period when our daughter was experiencing severe mental illness. For the past two years, the same daughter has been suffering from an acute medical condition that has completely taken over our lives, pulling the family apart and straining relationships. I felt my life had been put on hold, struggling to balance my daughter's needs with maintaining relationships with other family members and friends. When Sally announced she had started coaching, I saw an opportunity to address this imbalance. During our first session, it became apparent that one of my main challenges was a lack of self-confidence, particularly in trying new things, meeting new people, and looking after my physical health. I realized I had been using family commitments as an excuse to avoid new activities, resulting in deteriorating physical strength and aerobic fitness. I couldn't see a way to get back on track.

Sally introduced me to tools that helped rebuild my confidence. She encouraged me to be more open and honest about my struggles and to face potential worst-case scenarios while preparing for them. Among the various methods she suggested, I particularly embraced the 'Catch, Challenge, Change' technique, which has now become an automatic, integral part of my life.

Throughout our sessions, Sally has been very empathetic, constantly checking in on my needs and preferences to ensure I get the most out of our time together. I thoroughly enjoy our coaching sessions.

When you're in the thick of it, it's nearly impossible to see the negative behavioural patterns you've adopted and how they impact your life. Sally picks up on these immediately, gently guiding you towards a more contented, fulfilling life. Her ability to identify these patterns and provide direction has been invaluable.

I highly recommend Sally's coaching services. Her approach has helped me navigate challenging times and rediscover myself in the process.

“I am now able to set much more achievable goals and be more forgiving on myself if I do fail”

❝ I couldn’t recommend Sally more highly, the sessions were invaluable. They left me not only feeling clearer and calmer, but also much more determined in achieving my goals. In the past I would often set myself up for failure and then be hard on myself. I am now able to set more achievable goals and be much more forgiving on myself if I do fail.❞

“Sally has helped me with everything from severe anxiety, lack of confidence, finances and achieving my long term goals"

❝ When I first met Sally, I had recently gone through a traumatic period in my life and I was really struggling with day to day things. I was lacking confidence and feeling overwhelmed and alone. Sally is a great listener, compassionate, professional and easy to understand. Through her coaching I have learned a lot about myself:-I have begun to trust in my decisions and feel happier. She has helped me with everything from severe anxiety, lack of confidence, finances and achieving my long-term goals. I can’t thank Sally enough for her help. If you want long term change and to truly move forward in your life, then I recommend having some coaching with her.❞

“I am calmer, I have more direction and a bank of strategies to use”

❝ I first met Sally when I attended her face to face pilates classes, then during the pandemic I joined the zoom sessions which were a calming and relaxing lifeline.

In January this year, I reached out to Sally & The Liferaft as I knew I needed something but wasn’t sure what that looked like. I was feeling lost, lacking clarity and direction and had definitely lost my sparkle. Sally responded quickly to my enquiry and since then I have been enjoyably involved in group and one to one sessions. I began my journey on a group Mindfulness & Mediation course and have since continued on to one to one coaching sessions.

Sally is extremely approachable, professional and honest. Her warm, calm, caring and non-judgemental nature allows the perfect environment to be open and truthful about life experiences and challenges.

Sally is extremely good at listening, remembering and recapping, so is able to personalise sessions based on what has been shared. She is constantly studying and has a wealth of ideas and ‘tools’ which she willingly shares, backing up with her own experiences.

I am benefitting greatly from working with Sally and can see I am calmer, have more direction, a greater awareness of myself and my needs, as well as a bank of strategies to use. My confidence is definitely growing and I can see some of my sparkle and personality returning.

I would definitely recommend talking to Sally to see if she can help you. Her compassionate and genuine kindness allows an atmosphere that is perfect for open, truthful and sometimes difficult conversations.❞
